There is no doubt that Teams has spread rapidly and widely. However only a few percent use Teams for collaboration, as intended. The major investments in modern ways of working seem to have been lost. Will the introduction of Copilot be as odd? A few brief facts about modern ways of working today:
-Almost all “collaboration” in Microsoft 365 happens in private Teams chats
-OneDrive is the primary service in Microsoft 365 for document management
-Only a fraction of users collaborate on Teams channels
-There is rarely any lifecycle management of Teams or SharePoint, most of it remains forever without any control
This demonstrates how Microsoft 365 and Teams have been implemented and a substandard structure for Microsoft Copilot.
